cézanne achète un terrain au chemin des lauves , sur une colline autrement non développée au nord d'aix , et avait un two-storey maison construite avec un grand studio , environ cinq mètres de haut , au premier étage . Il a utilisé le studio tôt le matin et en fin d'après-midi . Quand il fait trop chaud , il peignait des aquarelles sur la terrasse , qui était entouré de buissons et de petits arbres et avait une vue magnifique sur la ville d'aix .
